We have updated our brand name, and are in the process of a brand change.
At the onset of the protests in 2020 against police violence and for the Black Lives Matter Movement I started “Live From the end of the world” to document the unrest.
After being in media, marketing, and Radio broadcasting for years, I knew we were at a historic moment in our lives.
I also never expected this to continue for months on end. As I developed this habit of logging on nightly I realized that somehow people were becoming dependant on the live stream community, the mainstream media was not reporting on the ground, not really showing the story of the protests, the community support around them.
We started to have people volunteer to help, and we started to stream on the ground ourselves, as other independent journalists started going out on the ground with credentials that said Live From the end of the world. It became clear to me, once again, I am working in media.
So, here we are. We are. Live from the End of the world, is no longer appropriate as far as names go.
We will continue to grow as needed.
Let us be clear, we support independent journalists, independent journalism does not always mean without bias.
I do not commit to being unbiased. As the Editor and content producer, I Anteros, admit my bias as toward the “left”.
We do however feature other people, both volunteer team members, and other independent journalists, who try to remain unbiased or lean towards the “right”.
